When I was a kid, I saw a forest fire burning at night across the valley from my cousin’s house. It seemed a thing of great beauty until my grandmother said, “Poor birds, poor animals”. And, of course, poor trees. But, I guess, they also bring renewal. Nature is cruel and beautiful.

Yes, true bb – lot’s of the animals have time to flee but they do have to find new homes.
