The Dismissal got me so riled up, although I was battling at the time, I sent $100 to the Labor Party and that led to a lifetime of interest in politics. He was also my local member, and he was there for his constituents like few others. A great man and a great legacy.
BTW, I liked the Whitlams more than the Doug Anthony All Stars, but that was probably political prejudice. 🙂
