First time Broccoli
Double Trouble – I’m the headless chook bottle feeding Raspberry and Pippin
Sheba is very unimpressed with the ever increasing size of the pack (and her order in it ๐ )
Can you guess what this is?

Note:
Having some technical and other issues at the moment.
My PC is on the way out and needs to be replaced ASAP. It is literally falling apart.
My rural (even though we are only 10 minutes drive to a major town) internet connection is as slow as a wet week (and to make it worse my monthly download allowance has been reached – thanks to the kiddliewinks)
My email is not working so I have to use another computer to access my email! It is some sort of bug related to updates.
And most importantly, my brother Daniel has been very ill in hospital for the past week (though is now at home) and is having great difficulty eating and drinking because ofย a chronic condition ๐ฆ
The good news is the kids are back at school and almost enjoying it ๐
Hi Gabrielle. Your broccoli is coming along nicely.
Thanks Helen ๐ First success in the broccoli department – a nice surprise for me!
sorry about your PC, internet and most importantly your brother ๐ฆ
love the photos though ๐
Hi there bodhisattvaintraining ๐ thank you for stopping by and commenting
Healthy greens, you’ve got there, Gabrielle. No idea what the object in the last photo is!
Hey Martin thanks (I nearly missed your comment as it got thrown in with the spam – how rude of my computer ๐ ) – see below for answer to question
I have to know what that last image is Gabe… hope life settles down for you and yours. Take care, G
Ok Graham – cross your legs ๐ it’s the remains of Pippin the mini goats scrotum and testes after the breeder used banding to desex him #ouch – fell off him last week, to Michael’s horror!
Hi Gabrielle, very busy…pets and potager is a lot of work but it is coming good, your brocoli looks delicious! Do you like rapini? It is my fav. veggie but not for everyone. Sorry for Daniel…
the last picture looks like a guinea pig , angora, with a nice green scarf ๐ keep well!
I’ve never heard of rapini but googled some images and it looks yummy ๐ See above answer to Graham for the ‘what is this photo’ question (guinea pig with a scarf – hahaha) thanks Ben
would have never guess ๐
Have no idea of what the last pictures is…..hope your brother has some recovery…take good care.
Thanks Charles ๐ (ps. see reply to Graham for answer ๐ ) and cross your legs as well – hahaha
Hope the technical problems solve themselves soon, Gabrielle. Lovely pictures.
The technical problems are slowly being solved Kate – thankyou – I have got my download capacity back and am backing up my PC so I can transfer files to the new one – and the new PC is wow amazing, so I am excited.
Hope brother and computer are on the road to recovery, and that your allowance will be increased! (Ban the kids!)
hahaha the kids will be having reduced access immediately ๐ thanks colonialist – I haz a new PC which I am in the process of setting up – brother is out of hospital and feeling somewhat better after being hydrated by drip.
Sorry about Daniel, Gabe. Your broccoli looks so healthy – yum. Is that a rabbit’s paw or ear?
Thanks bb ๐ It does look a bit like a rabbit’s paw (my Grandma used to have one for luck, as people did back then) – it’s a mini goat scrotum and testicles ๐
Aha – have you learned to do that as well?! Shirl better behave!
bwahahahaha – the breeder did that, not me – I couldn’t do that to the poor little goaties – Shirl is safe (well I wouldn’t use a band anyhoo – hahaha – straight for the sharp knife)
Used to breed goats twenty years ago or so -British Saanen and Toggenbergs. Never had the billies done, though. Raised them to three months, then to the butchers. The meat is very good – somewhere between very lean lamb and veal.
Regards from the old country – Mike.
Hi Gabe, sorry to hear about those traumas. Funnily enough, or not so funny at all, even though I live in a largish regional centre, my internet is rubbish too – it’s generally very slow and whenever it rains it drops out completely. But I’m sure Tony Abbott’s got this under control (probably not…most likely not).
I know what you mean – just cloud cover stuffs up my connection. Tony Abbott’s NBN is the equivalent of paying bananas and getting monkeys or something like that Nigel ๐
all the best for your brother Gabe
Thanks Dhyan ๐
Lovely photo of Sheba!
Hope your brother feels better soon
Thanks Juliet ๐ yes, Sheba looks pretty good in that one – she’ll need a trim soon when summer comes back.
Hi Gabe, sorry to hear Daniel has been unwell. Thank you also for first time visual of goat scrotum – it looks like a tiny guinea pig. Could be used as a warning for sex ed classes in school, on the likely outcome of sexual diseases.
hahahaha yes, might make some think twice ๐ thanks Jane
