The wonderful French speaking artist Benedicte Delachanal from Montreal in Canada has painted a copy of my photo of the Rainbow Lorikeet!
Just one of the reasons I love the blogosphere 🙂

Here is the original photo.

Thank you very much Benedicte and gros bisous – it is splendiferous 🙂
I can hear him cheep cheep just by looking at the photo! (I always think they sound like baby puppies, but up in the tree.)

thank you very much to all these lovely comments, but I must say that drawing and painting on a tablet is so easy and fun, anyone can do it!
Thank you very much Gabrielle for the photo and for such a warm place in your blog.
You’re welcome Benedicte (but I have tried painting on a tablet and the result was horrific – haha – so we don’t believe you 😉 )
I wish I could show you how, IT IS easy and fun.

Such remarks are definitely for the birds!
Love to see more collaborations like this! Just brilliant!!!
Thanks Graham – I love it!
Yay! The rainbow lorikeet is my all time favourite bird. I’d never even heard of them until I arrived at Lake Maraboon in Queensland about this time 3 years ago and they were everywhere – nuzzling up to each other and playing next to the tap. Thanks for stirring up those memories! 😎
Thanks Clare – they are very cute when they nuzzle up to each other in such an affectionate manner – glad you got to visit Queensland 🙂
Fabulous bird, fabulous drawing!
Thanks Aletha 🙂
