I have recorded my poem Letter to Colour. This was written a while back now, but can slip into the colour series.
I am an Australian poet, writer, blogger, psychologist, wife, mother of two children, autism and environmental advocate, and mad animal lover

I’m still getting over the betrayal – bastard colour!

You read it so well. It really enhances the poetic experience for me. I can feel a book coming out of all this colour….

what a joy to hear your voice and reading of your poetry. it is much deeply felt and the emotions were crisp by the rise and fall, emphasis and trembling cadence of your voice. i love listening to this.
what you said about colour is true. they need the light. but without light-black is a betrayal. i love the color series sequences and a treat to the imagination. wonderful poetry there, gabrielle.

Thank you so much hames1977 for listening and for your lovely comments, much appreciated. The poem is based on my disillusionment (as said in the original blog post) with the science behind colour – I felt quite depressed knowing that colour was only colour because of light (like I had been tricked).
