Michael’s poetry reading

My son Michael, who I have written about often, was really keen to be videoed reading a poem.

He’s been watching some great poets perform on youtube. Fellow blogger and poet extraordinaire Paul Squires was kind enough to video him, when he was doing the Braul videos.

The poem was written by me for Michael and is ‘A boy and a dog called Jazzy’.

I think it is a splendiferous and strong performance by the boy. Good onya Michael.

Thanks again Mr Squires.

  1. Wonderfully done, Michael, clap clap clap clap.

I could see you were smiling inside the whole time.

    YOU ARE A NATURAL.

(Tell Mum she did a pretty good job writing the poem, too).

    • Thanks d. When he was practicing he was roaming around the room doing all the matching hand movements – very impressive, but he did a more restrained version for the camera 🙂
