Michael’s favourite ‘cow’ from next door – he calls him Black Moo

Let me in Mrs B
I’m a friendly Green Tree Frog – not a yucky toad!

Michael wanted a cow for Chrissy – so the kids got 5 mice (who said parenting makes any sense)

Happy to find a volcanic crater on the property – hmmm – some might call it a dry dam

The unnamed horse next door has become quite attached to Tessa
(and I have started making random horse noises
it’s fun, you should try it – sound of air through vibrating lips)

happy new year to all of you in your new home. d.
thanks d.
Gabrielle, you had better tell Michael Black Moo is a “she”.
Happy New year to you all
haha – I just call them cows (even though boys are bulls
) – I’m told that Black Moo is a boy. Happy new year to you both
Love the new place and that you are all so happy. Have the best New Year and I hope Christmas was amazing for you all
It was a hectic Christmas but we survived
Hmm…making random horse noises… Gabrielle…I’m beginning to become somewhat concerned about how isolated you new home is.
May your new year be filled with joy and love!
haha – we are only 10 minutes from a major centre – the old place was much more isolated (an hour from big town) – peace to you and yours for 2013 Charles.
Looks like a great place and sounds like you’re having fun. Happy 2013, Gabe!
Thanks Nigel – it is great and the good news is that since I got a new aerial, the internet seems to be fine now (fingers crossed) – happy 2013 to you and may many more novellas and novels pour forth from your lovely noggin’.
Oh yeah, horse noises are loads of fun! Hope you are lapping up the first day of the year Gabe.
I knew you would understand the horse noise thing Graham – haha – it’s a sound and sensation thingy
I am enjoying the fresh start which is the new year – always a good thing.
I am in love with your new place already. I would be so excited to live there. I think it is a volcanic crater, for sure. Haha. WOW. There is so much going on there….. a real hive of activity. Wishing you and the family hundreds and thousands of happy days there xx
Thank you lovely Selma – we have been incredibly busy investigating all the stuff here – it’s far from an empty landscape – many things to notice and marvel at – birds I’ve never seen, frogs I’ve never seen or heard, all the animals and plants – and talking to the neighbours is very enlightening (I know so little about the farming way of life – it’s quite embarrassing
).
land beautiful land! lots of it stretching out – gorgeous!
yes it is tipota – it’s sparking lots of ideas and plans
have the best 2013 tipota (pops champagne)
Tessa’s photo of the horse is too funny and Michael’s Black Moo looks nice and friendly (she says, shivering with bovinaphobia)
Lots of fun to be had in that “volcanic crater” – wouldn’t that be fun if it erupted, haha
hahaha Tessa does a funny photo alright (my gravatar is her photo too)
Erupting volcanoes aren’t part of my disaster management plans, but it would be pretty cool! Thanks bb
Good to see you’re settling in and getting to know the locals.
Thanks Mark
Definitely getting to know the locals – as longs as we don’t start looking like them – hahaha – that would be a problem!
Lots of animals here for your kids to enjoy. Glad it is turning out well. My son…now grown (they all are) use to bring home tree frogs and give is sisters a fright. Boys.
hahaha – typical kids
thanks Renee – and wishing you all the best for this new year.
wonderful new place!
and wonderful photos
thanks Ben
there will be a lot more of those before this year is out.
aloha Gabrielle – way fun discovering new space. i like your “who said parenting makes sense?” line a lot. this place looks like a great space for inspiration and muse-attraction. fun. aloha
I think it is Rick
getting a few ideas popping about in the old noggin – haha – glad you appreciated my parenting line
aloha
You are so fabulously wealthy now — rich in singing frogs! and dastardly toads too! A symphony direct from Mother Nature!
rich indeed Aletha (and we might even have a goat soon
) hahaha
