I will be getting my copy in a few weeks so I am unable to give a review, but in the meantime
here is an edited extract from a message by the Perspectives Editors:
‘Perspectives: Poetry Concerning Autism and Other Disabillities Volume II has been released

With a foreword by Naturally Autistic ANCA’s internationally famous Leonora Gregory-Collura!
What people are saying so far:
“Perspectives is thoughtful, provoking, curious, and challenging. It brought me back to when I was a young adult with a disability, struggling with issues of self and disability. For me, I identified with the end of Jankowski’s poem, ‘In all my years of carrying these labels, I only had questions, but never answers.’”

Executive Director of NYSILC
“Perspectives will simultaneously provoke and enlighten you! Honest, raw and unfiltered, Perspectives reveals the soul of Autism!”

President/Founder of EJ Autism Foundation
The release of this book has been a long time coming.
The official launch event for Perspectives 2 takes place Thursday, October 4th at Dowling College in Oakdale, Long Island from 7:30-11pm. There will be food, there will be readings from the anthology, the books will be there and a chance to interact and appreciate this wonderful community of autism awareness.
Everyone will have a chance to participate in a raffle to win a free LIMITED EDITION hardcover copy of the book–the proceeds from the raffle go to providing books for us to donate to independent living centers so the residents can appreciate the different PERSPECTIVES of the poetry!
We at Perspectives feel this book is a giant stepping stone not only in the Perspectives series, but in autism awareness as there are very few places we have seen where so many people from so many places get to come together to share their work in this manner.
If you are a teacher, know a teacher or educator, or anyone who has any need to aquire bulk orders of these books for classes or to aid in therapy or any other cause, let us know – we are more than willing to work with bulk order discounts to see these books get to where they will be most appreciated.
We are also booking spots for the tour as we speak. If any of you know a place that might be interested in having Perspectives feature, having the poets read, or even just a table for the book to gain exposure, please don’t hesitate to let us know and don’t hesitate to reach out on our behalf. We at Perspectives are a friendly welcoming community and it is important that all of us work together so that the world sees the wonderful work you all are doing, and so that these different PERSPECTIVES see as much of the public eye as possible!
Thank you all for your contributions, your poetry, your help in making this anthology what it is.’
