I’ve never seen the film; maybe I should. The other pieces you posted, I had on in the background while I worked, but Rush has such a presence, I watched every moment of this.
I forgot it was an Australian movie – just expecting everyone to know it – haha – the actor Geoffrey Rush won the oscar for best actor (so he is well known).
You would love the movie Aletha – the pianist David Helfgott is still doing well (in the movie he has a breakdown after playing Rachmaninov perfectly) – and does performances all over the place.

It’s brilliant and very moving movie – Rush is amazing – definitely a must see – despair to joy!

Great movie. Fabulous actor. Exceptional story.
hear, hear – thanks Jane
It’s such a great film. I am still in awe of how good Geoffrey Rush was in it. What an exceptional actor. The music was so uplifting!
Thank God for Geoffrey Rush – an Australian to be hugely proud of (in fact a Brisbanenite – he went to University of Queensland)
